Today four of the Committee met with our MP Scott Benton. We discussed the junction of Common Edge and the new Amy Johnson Way link. The effects of traffic on Common Edge School Road, the Conservation zone and the School. We explained our disappointment at the Councils lack of communication about how they came to this plan and the lack of engagement with the residents. We also discussed Midgeland Farm and the lack of progress with plans for that site. He is supportive of what we are doing and will in due course write to each household on the Moss once the Plan is fully accepted. He will be in contact with the Council and will try to raise these issues and get information about how the decisions are made and why the alternatives that have been suggested cannot be considered.

In all it was a pleasant meeting with someone who appears to know the problems and is willing to help. Only time will tell if Blackpool Council will change.
